Melting the Ice in our Hearts – Balancing our Wings to Fly

Highlights from this session:

In this heartfelt interview the indigenous shaman, healer and storyteller Angaangaq shares the profound wisdom of his ancestors regarding equality, peace keeping and the importance of facing and melting the ice in our hearts. Being one of the only people in the world who have never been at war, Angaangaqs teachings on peace contain a crucial key for our times.

“We are in the midst of an awakening. At no time in history has Mother Earth needed her children to care more than at the present. Ancient prophecies from every culture around the world warn of dramatic global change. It’s time to believe we can make a difference."

Angaangaq

Angaangaq is a shaman and elder whose family belongs to the traditional healers of the Far North, in Greenland. He was trained mainly by his Grandmother Aanakasaa to become a shaman and the spiritual task given to him by his mother is: “Melting the Ice in the Heart of Man”. Angaangaq is a keynote speaker about climate change, and spiritual and indigenous issues.

In Angaangaq’s own words: “The Old Ones often say that when one wing becomes stronger than the other, we lose our balance, thus our flight becomes slow. I personally attempt to comprehend this as becoming a broken winged bird, and think of Mankind as being out of balance both spiritually and materially.”

Also “The greatest distance in the existence of Man is not from here to there nor from there to here. Nay, the greatest distance in the existence of Man is from his mind to his heart. Unless he conquers that distance, he can never learn to soar like an eagle and realize his own immensity within.”
