Lindsey Gulden is a climate and data scientist who’s career began with a shift from pre-med to computer science at Harvard, eventually leading her to pursue a Ph.D. in earth science at the Jackson School of Geosciences, where she developed models to improve the accuracy of environmental predictions.

After completing her Ph.D. in 2009, she joined ExxonMobil, applying her expertise to study coral reef growth and explore energy solutions. In 2019, Gulden and her colleague Damien Burch blew the whistle on over $10 billion in fraud at ExxonMobil, exposing the deliberate overvaluation of an oil and gas asset in the Permian Basin. She continues to devote herself to research and analysis with the aims of advancing the energy transition, mitigating climate change, and combating climate disinformation.
