Chifundo Khokwa is the coordinator of the Schools and Colleges Permaculture Programme Malawi (SCOPE) which is a network of Permaculture organisations that work in schools. She has over 14 years’ experience in permaculture and land design. Her work involves supporting school communities to achieve healthy productive landscapes through low input, high impact techniques. She has facilitated capacity building of many local organizations to facilitate sustainable land use in communities through schools. While working with the various organizations, she has promoted the use of the Integrated Land Use Design (ILUD) process as a tool for school and college communities to develop multi-functional landscapes that help them to move towards food sovereignty, improved nutrition and more sustainable management of natural resources. She is dedicated to promoting sustainable agriculture, permaculture, and participatory community development, and her extensive experience and education make her a valuable asset in these fields.
