Climate Consciousness Summit

Angaangaq
Shaman | Traditional Healer | Storyteller

Angaangaq is a shaman and elder whose family belongs to the traditional healers of the Far North, in Greenland. He was trained mainly by his Grandmother Aanakasaa to become a shaman and the spiritual task given to him by his mother is: “Melting the Ice in the Heart of Man”. Angaangaq is a keynote speaker about climate change, and spiritual and indigenous issues.

In Angaangaq’s own words: “The Old Ones often say that when one wing becomes stronger than the other, we lose our balance, thus our flight becomes slow. I personally attempt to comprehend this as becoming a broken winged bird, and think of Mankind as being out of balance both spiritually and materially.”

Also “The greatest distance in the existence of Man is not from here to there nor from there to here. Nay, the greatest distance in the existence of Man is from his mind to his heart. Unless he conquers that distance, he can never learn to soar like an eagle and realize his own immensity within.”
